While Alessa's sexual orientation was never mentioned in Silent Hill she appears to be the type that wouldn't mind being in a romantic relationship with a man or a woman. The kicker is that Alessa has to really trust someone before she'll even consider pursuing a romantic relationship.
Occupation: Former student, the former Holy Mother of God. Later, the Destroyer.

Reputation: To the average person in Silent Hill, Alessa was the unfortunate victim of a fire that took her life. In hushed whispers she was known as the daughter of the eccentric woman named Dahlia. In school, Alessa was known as the witch, and the scary girl with too many bruises.

To members of the Holy Woman sect, and to her mother, Alessa would be the mother of God. She would be the vessel/the incubator to hold the God in, and God would cleanse the world with fire and bring forth the eternal paradise.

Appearance: Alessa’s appearance can be best described as plain, yet elegant. Her dark brown hair is either pulled into a low ponytail, or loose and straight. She never really fixes her hair up to make herself look more attractive. The color of her skin is a deathly pale rivaled only by those that are actually dead, but despite the color there are no blemishes anywhere on her skin. Alessa stands at 5'4", and is thin, but not terribly so. Her blue eyes always seem to be looking towards something unseen, and her _expressions range from troubled to deep in thought to mischievous at times.

Alessa's World

History and Legend: (Note: Anything between * * indicates something not specifically spelt out in the games, or the guidebooks, thus making them theories. If you'd like to know how I came to these conclusions, feel free to e-mail me.) The history and legends surrounding the town of Silent Hill are complex in nature. During the 15th-16th centuries the place was a sacred area used by the natives. In the late 1600s a group of settlers begin to inhabit the area that would become Silent Hill. *These settlers took note of the spiritual practices of the natives, possibly writing down the rituals performed, and the names of the Gods.* For some reason these first settlers mysteriously vanish.

The town is later resettled around 1810 as penal colony. Brookhaven Hospital is built in response to an epidemic. In 1862, Toluca Prison camp is constructed for POWs. It soon becomes Toluca Prison. In 1890 the Native resistance is all, but pretty much wiped out. Strangely at this time the residents mysteriously vanished.

*It is possible that the residents were pulled into the Otherworld.*

*1890s - early 1900s. The first birth of the God as performed by the settlers.*

In the early 1900s the town became a sight seeing area.

Legends and Myths

Basics: The town of Silent Hill is seeped with several legends. The legends of the natives are unknown, unfortunately.

At some point in Silent Hill's history *possibly from the 1890s-early 1900s* there was a time in which all people were in great despair, and they all desired a complete death. One day a man offered a serpent to the sun, and a woman offered a reed to the sun. From these two people God was born. She divided day into night. Paved the road to salvation, gave the people joy, and took endless time away from the people. She then created lesser Gods and angels to lead people into obedience unto her. Finally she set out to create Paradise, a place where people would be happy just by being there. But soon her strength ran out, and she passed away, promising to return.

The town of Silent Hill is home to a strange religion. While the religion (known simply as the Order.) is split into different sects, they all believe in one chief deity, who has several angels and gods underneath her. What they disagree about is how the chief deity should be summoned.

The Sects

The Sect of the Holy Woman: This sect believed in the resurrection of the child!God by performing the ritual of immolation on a woman with special hidden powers. By performing this ritual it is believed that the child!God will be placed inside of the womb of the woman. It is also believed that by using the sacred crest, and the holy fire, that an evil entity will descend, and make contact with the saint, thus creating a new entity.

The Sect of the Holy Mother: This sect believed in the resurrection of the Holy Mother (God) by raising the conjurer. The conjurer is the one who will perform the 21 Sacraments for the Descent of the Holy Mother.

The Sect of Valtiel: The head priests of this cult, imitated the angel Valtiel by dressing up and acting as executioners. They worshipped Valtiel as an angel closest to God. This sect also acted as the mediators between the Sect of the Holy Woman, and the Sect of the Holy Mother.

The Divine Beings; Including the Saints

God: Also known as, The Holy Mother; The Lord of Serpents and Reeds, Creator of Paradise, Samael, and Xuchilpaba (the Crimson One). This is the chief deity worshiped by the cult of Silent Hill. She is accredited with dividing the time between day and night; and giving the people death; along with numerous other miracles. She is now 'dead' waiting to be reborn.

In the Mesoamerican language Xuchilpaba or Xuchil Paba means "Flower 'Priest'"

The Red God: Xuchilbara. Not much is known about this deity. It is believed that this deity might be the deity linked to salvation, and to the serpent offered. In the painting titled Creation, the Red God shares a similar appearance to the chief deity. Connotating perhaps that Xuchilbara was made in the same image as the chief deity.

The Yellow God: Lobsel Vith. Just like with Xuchilbara not much is known about this deity. It is believed that this deity might be linked with joy, and to the reed offered to the sun. In the painting titled "Creation", the Yellow God is seen pointing to a book.

In the Mayan language Lobsel Vith or Lob-sel Vi means "A bad vessel of flesh" or "A bad cycle of flesh

Angels//Demons

Valtiel: Is the governing angel of rebirth. He first physically appears in Silent Hill 3 as a being who follows Heather around, and rebirths her should she be killed. It is also believed that Valtiel is the Order's version of Metatron; the one closest to God.

Flauros//Hauros: A demon contained in the bronze pyramid that was first seen in SH1, and again in SH0. When contained he has the power to focus the powers of others. When released he has the power to bring forth the fires of Hell.

Samael: A red herring used by Dahlia in Silent Hill 1. Also the name of the God according to opponents of the Order.

Incubus: A nightmare demon. The God of SH1 takes on the image of the Incubus. There is also a mention of a ritual in the SHPN that talks about how when an evil entity makes contact with a saint, a new existence can be created. It is believed that this evil entity is 'the Incubus' Although it is not the same Incubus that came out of Alessa.

Pyramid Head: COMING SOON

Alizer: The only time this name appears is in the Halo of the Sun. Some believe this is the true name of the Woman in White "Alessa/Incubator" others believe it's a combination of Alessa//Cheryl//Heather. Others believe it's an anagram for 'Raziel'.

Special Abilities//Powers:

Alessa had a number of powers back in her world, but here in Asgard they've been weakened, and sometimes even eliminated.

Telekinesis: Shown in Silent Hill 1 when Alessa knocks Harry back a great distance using her mind. (Kept)

Telepathy: Shown in Silent Hill Origins. Alessa was able to dig up memories that Travis had been repressing since 1959 - 1961. She was also able to manipulate the town so it would show Travis his repressed memories. (Gone)

Astral Projection: Shown in Silent Hill Origins, and Silent Hill 1(Kept.)Radiation Manipulation: Displayed in the Cybil scenario of the Silent Hill Play Novel. She can create bullets of light and use them to severely injure, or even kill people. (Weakened)

Environmental Manipulation: Displayed in the Silent Hill Play Novel. (Gone.)

Phasing: Shown in SH0 when Alessa phases through a door. (Kept)

Death Projection: Alessa can kill someone, just by implanting the desire to kill into that person. (Lost)

Time Manipulation: (debatable) Shown in the Play Novel when Alessa Awakened, freezes time to let Harry and Cybil escape. (Gone)

Quirks: Alessa has a few quirks to character that are somewhat noticeable if you look close enough. She’s not the type to speak unless the situation calls for it, but her diary entries and writings can become wordy. She also doesn’t like to be touched, not for any personal boundaries, but the last time someone hugged her the world twisted and changed to look like a sea of fire. She also has a bit of a tendency to leave around cryptic and creepy poetry.

Personality: Alessa Gillespie appears to have two different sorts of personalities. As a whole Alessa is very curious woman with a thirst for knowledge and wisdom. She can also be playful around people she trusts when she wants to be.

Because of childhood abuse, and a certain event that happened in March of 1976, Alessa's soul had split into two, and the two halves came to inhabit two bodies. The darker side remained inside of Alessa while the happier side was born into a new baby. This new baby was eventually adopted and raised by Harry and Jodie Mason (the latter died three years later.)

Even though Alessa and Cheryl have reunited, people may notice a conflict within Alessa's soul. She can be a kind and innocent like person who will seek the approval of others. On the other hand when she feels threatened or scared she can become bitter, apathetic, and hateful.

Because of the recent reunification of the two halves both Alessa and Cheryl have received new memories. Alessa now has more memories of Harry Mason while Cheryl now has memories of Dahlia Gillespie.

Background Information: Alessa Gillespie was born on February 19th, 1969 to a woman named Dahlia Gillespie and an unknown father. Not a lot is known about Alessa during the first five years of her life. She was raised in her mother's religion, a cult that believed in the second coming of their god who would bring about an eternal paradise.

Alessa was initially raised to become a priestess of the cult just as her mother was. At some point in time Alessa started to display certain powers. She could make objects move with her mind, but most impressive to her mother was Alessa's ability to kill a person with thought alone. Even though Alessa displayed these powers she wasn't chosen as the mother of God until later on.

Sometime in March of 1976 Alessa found an object of her mother's, a four sided bronze pyramid called the Flauros. Alessa asked what the object was, and proceeded to touch it despite her mother's warning. Alessa received a slight burn, and a warning from her mother. The object was a cage for a demon that if contained it's power would help focus Alessa's, but if released then everyone would burn in the fires of Hell. Later that day Alessa and her mother got into an argument over the use of Alessa's powers. Dahlia had requested a tiny bit of Alessa's powers for an unknown purpose. Alessa refused and told her mother that the only thing she wanted wass to be with her mother and only her mother. Upon hearing this Dahlia made a cryptic comment about a mother's womb creating life, and how she could have done something all herself. This confused and worried Alessa.

That night Alessa was burned alive as a part of the immolation ritual that would cause the God to descend down into Alessa. In an attempt to thrwart the ritual Alessa sends out an astral projection to materialize to a trucker named Travis Grady. As soon as the projection caught Travis' attention it ran off, leading Travis to the burning house and to Alessa herself. Alessa is carried out of the burning house by Travis, but the two slip into an unconscious state.

Alessa's body was eventually taken to the other church located in the Green Lion Antiques store. Meanwhile her mother had found a way to trap Alessa's will inside of the Flauros, and to break apart the Flauros hoping that Alessa would never be able to stop the cult.

Through out the events of Silent Hill Origins, Alessa proceeded to help Travis in her own weird way by digging up certain memories he had repressed deep down and bringing them to the surface. Once Travis had found all of the pieces of the Flauros and assembled it together Alessa's will/spirit was freed. Soon after being released Alessa used her power to shift Silent Hill from the misty world to the nightmare world. Soon after she lead Travis to the Green Lion Antiques shop where the cult is preparing to extract the God from Alessa.

Once Travis arrived he was knocked out and entered a dream world where he fought and killed the demon of the Flauros. Once contained Alessa was able to use the demon's power to help focus her own so she could split her soul in half and give the second half a physical form. After the creation of the new baby Alessa found a way to lead Travis out of Silent Hill, and placed the baby on the side of the road. This baby was soon after adopted by Harry Mason and his wife who named her Cheryl.

Meanwhile Dahlia Gillespie placed a pain amplification spell on Alessa. The spell would cause Alessa to seek help from her other half. For seven years Alessa endured the pain, because she didn't want to ruin what little happiness she was feeling as Cheryl. The pain soon became too much for Alessa to bear and she made one final plea to Cheryl to come and help her. On April 20th, 1983, Harry Mason and Cheryl Mason made a trip to Silent Hill. Just before arriving Alessa's spirit stepped out in front of Harry's jeep causing him to crash. At this moment Alessa and Cheryl reunited. Alessa broke free from the cult's spell and was reborn of her burns. Cheryl was restored to her natural self.

Alessa proceeded on with her plan. She would use her powers to create a giant Seal of Metatron in order to destroy the god inside of her, and would then kill herself. However, things didn't quite work out as planned. While Alessa was working on creating the Seal of Metatron; her mother was using Harry Mason in order to capture her daughter. In the end Alessa was caught by the Flauros, and taken to a place where she would finally give birth to the god.

Dahlia reunited the two halves of Alessa, causing Alessa to transform into a being known as "Alessa/Incubator" or "Alessa Awakened" And, then Dr. Kaufmann came in, and threw a bottle of Aglaophotis onto Alessa/Incubator. The red solution irritated something inside of the woman, because in mere moments a winged demon (similar to Baphomet)by the name of Incubus, ripped itself from the woman's back. Alessa/Incubator disappeared somewhere, but when the Incubus was defeated they came back. She created a new baby for Harry Mason, (the reincarnation of Alessa and Cheryl), and then she died.

Relationships: Coming Soon.

Plots: None as of now.

Morana

 Basics
Where she comes from: Original Character
Birthday: November 24th
Age: 17
Species: Human, supposedly cursed, with a strange ability
Sexual Orientation: None at the moment.
Occupation: Outcast, Prisoner
Reputation: In her own world, Morana is perceived as a monster, cursed child, unblessed, a jinx and a bad omen. She is seen as a being that can only cause disaster and pain, and therefore, is widely avoided by everyone. Just before arriving in Chaos Unraveled, she was also perceived to be a killer, responsible for the death of a young child.

In Chaos Unraveled however, things are quite different. She is seen as a shy and somewhat lonely individual who is not used to people talking to her, due to her stuttering voice and awkward fidgeting. However, she is also seen as a kind, gentle and sweet natured girl who wants to do her best, though she can be confused in interactions with others, somewhat naive, and seems rather skittish. With time however, she will come out her shell, and be worth knowing.

Her World

History and Legend

 The Lykke Clan
On a small offshore island in a large sea, there exists a collected tribal group called the Lykke Clan. They survive through harvest and labour, keeping themselves alive through hunting and growing food for the collected number of roughly one hundred people. Most go through their daily business without fail to survive, while the elder priests are there to give guidance and law to all other clan members.

Spiritually, the Lykke Clan worship deities of the sun, and look to them for blessing. They believed that as long as the sun ruled over the sky, they would be safe and protected, and live prosperous lives. They believed themselves to be the chosen people of the deities, given the name of Lykke, meaning good fortune. By giving daily offerings of livestock and valuables on the holy altar ruins in the middle of the island, the deities saw them in good stead, and they would be protected. It was also believed that children had to be born during the day, before sunset, in order to be blessed by the deities and live long and happy lives filled with joy and wealth.

 The Darkest Day, Her Curse
On day, almost eighteen years in the past, there occurred the most dreaded day in the Lykke Clan's history. They had heard of myth and legend of it from their ancestors, but no one had predicted it would return.

The Darkest Day; a Solar Eclipse.

In the Lykke Clan's beliefs, blocking out the sun meant there was no connection to the beloved deities they worshipped, meaning they were vulnerable to the evil forces of the world without the sunlight's protection. They were thrown into panic that the world might be coming to an end, and everything descended into utter madness. Eventually, things calmed down once the moon moved in rotation. The sun could be seen once more, and everyone thought the worst was over...but they were mistaken.

Suddenly a young midwife came running through the village towards the elders screaming and shouting in panic. None could understand what she was trying to say, all they could come to grips with was that there was a monster among them. Quickly, she lead them along and into one of the maternity huts. Inside, expectant mother's lay on small beds, where they were attended by tribal medicine women. Usually, over each bed there was opening in the ceiling where the rays of the sun could pore down, so the child would be bathed in light once it was born, blessed to live a good and long life. Unfortunately, this had not been so for one baby.

The newborn, a baby girl was lying at the end of the bed, crying loudly to be picked up, but no one dared. The nurses were shrinking away in horror. The mother was curled up at the head of the bed, as if trying to be as far away from the infant possible. The father held his wife with one arm, the other extended with a bloody hunting knife in his hand. He had cut the umbilical cord messily, but he wanted to separate his wife from the baby as quickly as possible, as if protecting her from some horrible evil force.

This child could only be a few minutes old. That was enough to make everyone realize what had happened. The people were terrified to think of it ever happening, but it had. Since they had not known about the eclipse, the woman was already giving birth when it began. She obviously had tried to hold the child in until the blessed sun returned to the sky, but to avail.

This baby was born in the darkness, it was not blessed by the deities. There was no doubt in any of clans mind that child was contaminated by the dark forces that must have arose during the eclipse. That's why no disaster had come; all the wickedness had been contained within this unholy infant.

The priests retreated to the temple soon after the news spread to decide what to do. Killing the child was an option, but it would most likely make the killers, and cause the deities to be angry at them. They could not afford to lose the blessed protection. Instead, they came up with the option of keeping the infant away from the rest of the Clan, lest they be infected by her evil aura. She was left to live alone in a cave in the forest, where she would dwell for all her life till her death, which in the case of many of the Clan, they prayed would come soon.

Magic
While the Clan are not a supernatural one, they do believe that such things as magic can exist, but only in good form of their beloved deities. Things such a Morana's powers are unheard of to them, and in consequence, due to the bad timing they displayed themselves and Morana not being favoured well already, they were considered very dark and unnatural, most likely a soruce of the dark evils of the world that the sun deities would normally protect people against. Being born on the Dark Day of course, meant she was contaminated by wahtever demons lurked in the shadows of the sun, and her powers were nothing but a tool of evil destruction.

 Personal Background
Therefore, Morana was seen a child born without the deities blessing and goodness, and therefore, was a cursed and evil creature. There was argument that she should be killed straight after birth, but the Lykke Clan worried that such an action would be wicked, and it would mean the sun deities would stop protecting them. Instead, they decided to allow the child to live, but in a cavern a good distance away from the rest of the village. She would be given food and water daily until she was old enough to go out and fend for herself. She was allowed to walk through the village streets, but for their own safety, people should be warned not to touch her, speak to her, or even look at her for too long, lest they wanted to be cursed themselves.

This led to Morana leading a life of being shunned and avoided by all the people of the clan, whispering cruel words, saying she was unholy and would bring bad luck to anyone who associated with her. It was made worse as she aged, and she was seen as notably different from everyone else. While the rest of the Lykke people were blessed with fair hair, light coloured eyes, athletic form and tanned skin, Morana was pale, dark, and morbid looking, leading her to be further ostracised. Having no one to contradict this information for her, Morana grew believing it was true what they Lykke Clan said about her. And so, she kept her distance from other people, never questioning anything said about her.

This lead Morana to be isolated, living in the forest on the island, utterly alone, and a safe distance away from everyone else.

 Appearance
Overall, due to the way she lives Morana is rather scruffy and messy in appearance. Her waist length black hair is tangled and wavy, and often has to be pushed out of her face so she can see properly, revealing large and curious misty grey eyes. Her skin is very pale and white, her body average height (5'7 about) but very scrawny and bony, making her look rather malnourished. She wears rather worn and tattered tribal looking clothes, which consist of a full length patterned skirt and short top revealing her midriff, with supported straps attached to her upper arms. She is also seen to walk barefoot all the time.

It is also due to this appearance in comparison to the golden hair, tan skin and athletic form of the Lykke Clan, that she is widely seen as different and unblessed.

Talents, Powers and Skills

Powers

 Sonic Vocals
Though barely aware of the power until she was summoned to Heavens team, Morana can emit sonic waves with her voice. Previously it has been when she is screaming due to panic attacks she takes when under strain or is very scared, but with training, she could use them through an emission of powerful notes in her voice. The waves she has shown so far are strong enough cause mild earthquakes, and land to crumble and crack.

Skills

Understanding Nature
Due to living on her own in the forest all her life, Morana has gained a delicate insight to nature. She knows better than most of what is dangerous and what is safe concerning plants and animals, knowing about which plants heal, which can be eaten, and which not to touch at all. In dwelling amongst the animals and birds, she also holds a good repertoire with them. She's not frightened by them, even the more vicious beasts, and often finds it easier to be around animals than people. In turn a lot of creatures do no harm to Morana since she understand the behaviour patterns, and are even friendly and playful with her. Even more dangerous creatures like wolves, mountain lions and bears do not mind her company as long as she shows herself to be no threat. There is a great understanding between Morana and these creatures, since they do not judge her, like the humans of the Lykke Clan.

 Survival Skills
Despite looking rather scrawny and weak physically, Morana is actually quite agile. In living in the forests of her island home, she has become very good and running, swinging and climbing. She is also resourceful in ways to survive, such as finding food and water, starting fires and tracking animals.
Notable Items
Having no family or real home, Morana has never owned any real possessions apart from the clothes on her back in her own world. In Chaos Unraveled, there are some things she can call her own.

Dolphin Locator Bracelet
Given to her by Zefiris in order to track her, the device uses advanced technology to keep tabs on Morana's health and location

Grave Marker
Made with her own two hands, this object is

 Relationships

 Current Plots

April 08 Thread 5

 Characters Involved:

 Jazz, Christopher Carrion

 Setting:

 Niflheim, the Tower

 Time:

 After initial orientations

 Rating:

 PG-13

 Malfunction Day:

 N/A

 Written?

 [Yes - Link]

 Overview
Jazz the Cybertronian visits the Tower and meets one of its residents, Christopher Carrion the Prince of Midnight.

 In-Depth
Eager to experience this world from up high, Jazz the Cybertronian goes to visit the Tower. Within this tower, the room belonging to Una and Christopher Carrion happens to be there (during this time, only Carrion is present). Though still exhausted, the Prince of Midnight decides to also explore the tower when he encounters Jazz, who had arrived slightly earlier and was then studying the strange walls of flesh. Carrion is amazed that such a huge mechanical entity exists, and Jazz is curious about the new "organic" being that does not seem to be human. They go up to the roof together and strike up a conversation. Carrion shares information on his nightmare eels with Jazz, and by allowing Jazz to actually hold one of his "pets," he figures out that he cannot hurt Jazz through the normal means of terrorism and manipulation. They also talk about their "dysfunctional" families and their worlds.

 Important Linked Events
N/A

Walter Sullivan

Silent Hill 4: The Room

Where she/he comes from: Silent Hill 4: The Room
Birthday (if known): Not known.
Age: He is actually 34, but his body never ages from when he was 24.
Species: A human ghost(?)
Sexual Orientation: N/A for bothl. Each event will also have a page of its own Also, major awesome points to the player of Mitch, Emerald and Carrion for her great help in adding to this timeline, as well as the player of Kain and Banru.

The original batch of starting characters begin the game, either being asked by Metatron to take part in a fight to stand up for Heaven, or being asked by Lucifer to fight for Hell (though there's a few he simply zaps into the realm).

The initial Meetings of Dorian and Nix; Kamina and Henry after Kamina 'redecorates' their front door and surprises Metatron with it; Sal and Emerald as they redecorate their room with blood and gore take place. Most of the other characters get to know each other through the various communication systems.

Lucifer decides to observe Light a little, before Strix interrupts. Light gets a few answers from Lucifer as Lucifer and Strix piss each other off. Strix proceeds to get drunk and destroy every clock in the room as Light watches, and they proceed to piss each other off as well.

Around the same time, Christopher Carrion and Jazz converse at the top of Niflheim's tower. Meanwhile in the garden maze beside Asgard, Blythe and Nix come across each other after a not-so-smooth beginning over the communication system.

After Dr. Cox becomes a resident of Niflheim, his antisocial announcement over the communication system causes an interesting series of playful banter and arguing between he and Strix. After that, Strix breaks into his room and proceeds to freak Dr. Cox out. This ends up causing him to take his job as the resident doctor seriously and asks everyone on Hell's side to come and speak with him about their anatomy, weaknesses and strengths so he can take care of them properly. Balam meets with him first, followed by the rest of Niflheim minus Lucifer. Some are more willing to speak with Dr. Cox - others are less trusting.

Strix, having left room 102 as messy as she left it after the talk with Light, proceeds to get drunk with Dr. Cox and Emerald as Jazz watches. Sal pops in long enough to stare at the sight and be disgusted, and leave. Afterwards, Strix is unwilling to return to the room she shares with Light to sleep and decides to sleep outside. Lucifer waits outside of Sal's room to catch Sal, where they discuss a way to hinder the resident delusional Japanese perfectionist.

Outside of the mansion called Asgard, Henry begins to photograph what catches his interest. Frank passes by and they begin to talk about architecture as Strix spies on them. After their conversation, Frank heads to the garden maze to get dirt for his pet lizard when Lina stumbles upon him and Strix spies once again.

Once Henry finishes preparing his photographs, Alessa asks to see them. She goes to Henry's room and there he shows her the photos.

Light, hungry in his once-again-living form, goes searching for food in Niflheim until he notices Blythe wandering nearby outside. They speak to each other despite Blythe's cautious nature, when Una shows up. Both Light and Una seem to display a pleasant demeanor to Blythe, yet they have other intentions...

Light convinces Lucifer to give him a weapon to defend himself with -- with unexpected consequences.

Dorian catches Mitchell playing the drum set in the ballroom of Asgard. He's so overwhelmed (in a good way) that his jaw falls off. Mitch freaks for a moment, but they calm down and begin to bond over the drums and music. Around the same time, Jazz, Strix, Emerald and Carrion team up to plan a mission to infiltrate and spy on Asgard.

Strix finally returns to the room she shares with Light, but only to gather her things. She's unable to keep quiet, however, and ends up yelling at Light. Light doesn't seem to be bothered until she slams him into a wall and injures his head, after which he fires a shot into her shoulder. Strix's intentions go from hurting him to actually killing him, and Lucifer appears between them. He forces her to leave before helping Light out due to the resident doctor's busy state in the study. She ends up dragging herself in a daze until Balam and Dr. Cox find her.

Jazz, Strix, Emerald and Carrion's plot begins to take action when Jazz goes up to the tower for Carrion's contribution.

L encounters Metatron and joins Asgard.

Dante and Shinji Mimura arrive in Niflheim. Kain Highwind, Will Graham and L arrive in Asgard.

After Will's arrival, Will brings Henry coffee and in turn gets to check out Henry and Kamina's interesting room. Around the same time, L accidentally flicks the strobe light switch on in his and Frank's room. Henry helps him out, and L finally meets his roommate face to face. After attempting to mark the bed in the room she and Dr. Cox share as "hers", Dante explores the devil's library and meets Carrion. Shinji tries to escape the bothersome bloodstains in his room that remind him too much of the time before he died and meets Light in the kitchen.

Through the journal system, Kain meets L and immediately dislikes him. Shortly thereafter, Kain and L argue over the communications system a second time.

A little later, Light's offer to let people take the alcohol from his room is taken by Emerald, who has an ulterior motive to meeting up with him. Emerald plays the fool and pries subtly for information as Light pries quietly himself to learn more about her. Around the same time, Henry and Alessa begin to organize Asgard. Alessa asks everyone to share their strengths to better prepare for the upcoming events. Meanwhile, Henry tries to see who's willing and who isn't willing to go on expeditions and explore the terrain.

Henry ends up feeling overwhelmed by his sudden role as a leader and heads to the pool to think about things only to be interrupted by Will, Alessa and Blythe.

Alice stumbles upon Light and L fighting over the communications system and becomes disturbed. This leads to Will visiting her to see if he can make her feel better while at the same time showing her how Earth has changed since she lived there.

Later at night, Dante and Light discuss alchemy.

Kain and Lina get acquainted, and find they have the whole saving the world thing in common. They discuss princes and horses, which leads to Kain deciding that Lina isn't that bad.

Shinji plays basketball with Balam. Kain meets L while still pissed off from his last encounter, nearly beats him up, finds out that L was only trying to mess with the enemy, and nearly decides to beat up L again. They come to a sort of truce. Later, Kain and L finally start to cooperate a bit in order to mess with the enemy some more. Light, however, suspects something.

Alice organizes expeditions - Henry's idea - so that people can go out and explore sooner. Around the same time, L agrees to meet with Jazz.

Kain and Lina's sort-of friendship is cemented when they plan to vandalize Niflheim and then put the plan in action.

L finds a poison to use against Light, and proceeds to attempt to use it on Light. Instead, Light gets the upper hand and rapes L. Around the same time, Una shows Will around the tower in Niflheim, Blythe reveals a vision to Mitch, and Mitch reveals a mysterious part of his past.

Jazz, unable to tolerate the knowledge of what is occuring between Light and L, sends Light a message and then is compelled to send an anonymous message to Frank about L. Frank immediately notifies the rest of Asgard.

While sparring with Nix, Mitch collapses due to his fever, and Frank enters as he tries to gather the Asgardians for L’s rescue party. Kamina also pops in to offer moral support. Alice tends to Mitch and the end of the event marks the arrival of Mitchell's new ability to control fire. Around the same time, Henry and Frank go to retrieve L in the woods. Afterwards, Frank keeps L company as Blythe comes to offer assistance.

Midvalley, Gin and Eileen are transported to the realm.

Jazz talks about the Aftermath and some members get riled while others remain indifferent. Henry and Will get drunk. Jazz posts as Tristan for the first time. Mitch and Will discuss Tristan. Ichimaru and Kain fight. Blythe heals Kain.

Midvalley and Jazz have a little fun. Light and Sal hang out. Emerald and Una spend some time together.

Una and Sal trash the tower, Una and Carrion's sleeping quarters. A few hours later when he returns, Carrion gets pissed off. Light and L rendezvous.

Glitch and Walter arrive!

Dorian finds Glitch and Ichimaru finds them. Ichimaru "insists" that Dorian give Kain a message when Metatron interrupts and walks both Dorian and Glitch to Asgard. Walter hides out in Emptiness only to be found by Alessa. Also in Emptiness, Shinji explores and finds Sal. In Asgard, Henry gives Eileen a tour of sorts.

Sal and Una set up equipment around Emptiness.

Metatron gives hints on the first trial.

April 08 Thread 6

 Characters Involved:

 Blythe, Nix

 Setting:

 Asgard's gardens

 Time:

 Same day as introductions

 Rating:

 PG

 Malfunction Day:

 N/A

 Written?

 [Yes - Link]

Overview
Blythe and Nix meet in order to get to have a better understanding of each other.

 In-Depth
However long it takes, a much more detailed description. He also meets Strix, who is unhappy about a particular situation.

 In-Depth
Satan's representative and leader of Niflheim, Lucifer, waits for Light Yagami outside of Room 102. He is curious about the power-hungry Japanese male, who came to Niflheim's side on the promise of eventually receiving a new Death Note. Light, puzzled over whether he is still dead or not, exits the room and finds his "superior" outside. As Light apologizes for keeping Lucifer waiting, Lucifer is privately amused that such a seemingly ordinary young man was once the legendary "Kira." Before they can strike up a conversation, Strix arrives. She hears the two males before she sees them, and she also hears the telltale ticking sounds of the clocks, which are located in Room 102. Her inner intuitive voice tells her, "Kira," and she becomes hopeful that she will be sharing a room with a Japanese woman.

Instead she finds Light, and asks him in Japanese, "Are you Kira?", not knowing that the name is actually Light Yagami's serial killer name, the one that that press had given for the unknown, vigilante "killer" of criminals. Light politely tells her that he prefers to be called by his real name, and he asks for hers. Strix questions the appropriateness of her sharing a room with a male and gives Lucifer a dirty look. In turn, Light 'assures' her that the possibility of him doing something to her is unlikely, and Strix snorts at this, saying that it is he who should be worried about what she could do to him and dropping a hint that she is a blood-drinker. She then threatens Light when he makes a statement about assuming that she had had a bad experience with a male.

Lucifer merely watches the two snark at each other, silently laughing at them before pointing out that killing a fellow teammate will bring about consequences. He also explains that there are clocks and alcohol in their room. Strix brushes off his statement about killing, stating that she prefers torture. She also asks Lucifer if something for her "condition" has been arranged before complaining loudly that the clocks irritate her super-sensitive hearing. Unmoved by Strix's threats, Light only tells her that she is free to destroy the clocks in the room, but not his watch.

To answer Strix's question, Lucifer tells her that there are animals outside that she could feed off from, but that if she prefers human blood, he suggests that she may have to "get cuddly" with her fellow teammates. He then adds that he will provide "meals" for her, but only with enough blood for her to survive and not more unless she proves herself. To Light he says, "You... will prove especially amusing," and then begins to walk away, adding that they may do what they wish except killing because Niflheim needs all of its members in order to defeat Asgard. Light stops Lucifer from leaving with questions regarding his physical state and usefulness in the contest. The representative explains that Light does indeed have his human form back and that his usefulness is not dependent on fighting alone, but also on intelligence and the ability to be manipulative. He finally leaves Light and Strix to their new room.

 Important Linked Events
N/A

April 08 Thread 2

 Characters Involved:

 Kamina, Henry, Metatron

 Setting:

 Asgard, Room 307

 Time:

 Shortly after initial orientation

 Rating:

 PG

 Malfunction Day:

 N/A

 Written?

 [Yes - Link]

 Overview
Kamina adds a personal touch to the door of his room in Asgard. Metatron walks by and Henry Townshend meets his new roommate.

 In-Depth
Before even checking out his new room, Kamina uses two spray cans to create a special insignia on the door, declaring that Asgard has become the headquarters for the New-Gurren Brigade. Metatron, God's representative and leader of Asgard, arrives on the third floor and pauses from making his rounds, curious about the demonic-looking symbol. Kamina explains that it is "the symbol of a man's burning soul! The ignition of a warrior's passionate fighting spirit given form! That is the banner that rallies the fighting spirit to come forth in all who see it! The symbol of the Gurren Brigade!" Metatron agrees that it is a marvelous idea, though he asks Kamina to explain what a Gurren Brigade is. As Kamina explains, Henry Townshend steps out from inside the room (which he had learned that the room has an amazing natural atmosphere) to see what the noise is all about. After Metatron praises Kamina's idea, Kamina pulls Henry out of the room in a headlock, and enthusiastically proclaims the beginning of the Neo-Gurren Brigade. Though Henry is slightly startled, he appreciates Kamina's ideas about teamwork.

 Important Linked Events
N/A

April 08 Thread 1

 Characters Involved:

 Dorian, Nix

 Setting:

 Asgard, Room 101

 Time:

 Afternoon, after arrival at Asgard

 Rating:

 PG

 Malfunction Day:

 N/A

 Written?

 [Yes - Link]

 Overview
New arrivals Dorian and Nix meet each other for the first time as roommates in Asgard.

 In-Depth
After making his first journal entry, Dorian goes to check out and poke the glass of the aquarium in his room. Nix enters the room, cringing slightly at Dorian disturbing the fish. They begin a conversation to try to get to know each other better since they would be living together. In order to better explain his story, Dorian changes from his mummy form into the form of the polished, well-dressed British gentleman, Sir Percival Quigby, Dorian's third soul. Though surprised, Nix handles the change well and the conversation continues as Dorian tells how his father performed cruel experiments in order to learn how to revive the dead. Nix also shares his past, how he is a murderer because he untentionally led people to their deaths with the music of his violin. Their talk comes to an amicable close.

 Important Linked Events
N/A

April 08 Thread 3

 Characters Involved:

 Emerald, Sal

 Setting:

Niflheim, Bloodmire, Room 304 in Niflheim

 Time:

 Day, shortly after initial orientation

 Rating:

 R

 Malfunction Day:

 N/A

 Written?

 [Yes - Link]

 Overview
Emerald and Sal also decide to fix up their white room on their first day with something more suitable for both bloodthirsty killers.

In-Depth
As the two make their way over to the Bloodmire [see 'Places of Interest'], Emerald tries to get a better feel about what Sal is like while Sal indulges Emerald's questions. The scent and sights of the Bloodmire seem to put both of them in a good mood. As they round up a few dead corpses, they find that some of the corpses are still moving. Sal takes out his Glock and steps into the blood-filled mire to begin a little "game of cat and mouse," feeling unchallenged by the quarry for the most part. He asks Emerald if she is going to join, and she does, using razors and a dagger to fend off the walking undead. Sal feels a grudging sense of appreciation for the assassin. Once they return to their room, they proceed to take apart the bodies and "decorate" their room with blood, gore, and various body parts.

Emerald demonstrates her powers over plants as she paints up the door with blood and then sprinkles seeds onto it. Deadly vines proceed to grow around the doorway and by some unknown magical property, will not allow intruders into the room without the occupants' permission. If crossed, the vines will attack and sink sharp thorns into the unfortunate trespasser.

Sal breaks the vanity by throwing a liver at the mirror, and Emerald fingerpaints with blood. Intrigued by Emerald's actions, the asexual being grabs Emerald's wrists and licks a little of the blood off the assassin's thumb. They have a tense moment afterward when Emerald suggests they are finished and Sal disagrees in a way that slightly irritates his roommate. They do agree on a way to dispose of the leftovers, which is to leave them up in the tower where Carrion and Una reside.

 Important Linked Events
Emerald makes her first post and complains about her room [Link]
Sal and Emerald agree about changing up their room [Link]

The Trials

Have you been wondering where the competition and struggle between Hell and Heaven is? Aside from the personal squabbles, struggles, and growth that Satan and God watch between the events, there are also the more official trials.

Whenever a trial, tournament, or whatever term you would prefer between Hell and Heaven is coming soon, this is where to look for information on it. Characters will not know about the tournaments except when the NPCs inform them officially, but helpful planning details will be contained here. This is also the place where you can check out the results of the previous trials.

 Upcoming Trial Information
Currently, the first trial has yet to be announced, as Metatron and Lucifer are waiting until August 1st. God and Satan each have their own desires, and Lucifer and Metatron are their representatives, discussing until they can reach some sort of trial agreement.

The trial has become a trial of the mind. Metatron and Lucifer have left their respective headquarters temporarily to create a creature to give riddles. The creature, known as Sphinx, will be a temporary NPC controlled by the moderator. The trial is going to be a trial of riddles, puzzles and cryptograms. Each chosen representative from Niflheim and Asgard will receive one puzzle to solve. This puzzle will have three parts - figuring out what the puzzle itself says or is asking, figuring out the answer to the puzzle, and retrieving the answer (which may or may not be a difficult quest.)

 Current Trial

 Important Dates

Friday, August 1st - An official trial 'newsletter' of sorts will be sent to the door of every single character in the game, featuring a list of the representatives for each side and detailing the next step of the trial.

Friday, August 15th - All representatives are summoned (as described in the 'newsletter') to a unique place in the realm where a ceremony will be held. After the initial parts of the ceremony are finished, characters will be summoned one by one to receive their riddle in private (in a second thread.) During these moments, the representatives not with Sphinx may interact with each other.

Sunday, September 14th - The day where the representatives are to deliver their solved riddle and the answer to Sphinx. From August 15th to September 14th, characters can try to figure things out and go on adventures to find whatever it is they have to retrieve, but on September 14th they will be accountable for delivering the requested item.

 Trial Representatives
Asgard

 Blythe

 Frank

 L

 Maria

 Mitch

Niflheim

 Flauros

 Jazz

 Light

 Mello

 Wesker

 Previous Trial Information
No trials have taken place yet.

 Different Types of Trials
The different types of trials will be elaborated upon as different trials pop up.

Keep in mind that the trials in Chaos Unraveled aren't a true contest but another way to have fun with plot and character interaction.

 Trials of the Mind
Riddle Trials

 Story Information

Riddle trials, as per the first trial ever introduced into CU, are about solving puzzles and last about a month. Characters are selected to represent their team and be responsible for the solution to a puzzle they receive. They receive the puzzle at a ceremony with Lucifer, Metatron and Sphinx (a Trial-focused NPC) that officially begins the trial of the mind. Upon receiving the puzzles they can do what they want and attempt to solve their respective puzzles as best they can, with the occasional aid of teammates.

Characters that were not representatives could help representatives with their puzzles - but not everyone would necessarily solve the puzzle they receive. No one character should solve everyone's puzzles for them either - try to let everyone have an opportunity to have a character help in some way, if they want to.

Typically the puzzles have three parts. First, the riddle is in some sort of code, so one has to figure out what the riddle is saying. Then, one has to solve the riddle to figure out what they need to do and bring back to Sphinx. After that, it's all about the quest of finding what the riddle wants and bringing it to Sphinx on the last day of the trial!

 Other Information

The answers to the puzzles are not given out immediately, because actual players might want to have fun trying to solve the puzzles on their own outside of the game or to add some authenticity behind how their character(s) solve a puzzle. Two or three weeks into the trial, the answers will be publicly shared. Before that, the moderator will expect players to converse with her in comments or via email about their riddles and the actual answers, if they needed to know quickly.

When a character finally correctly figures out the second part of the puzzle (what the puzzle actually is asking of the character), players should email the mod so that extra details about the quest portion of the puzzles can be shared. Why the request that people alert the mod to this? This is because it's the best way she could think of to add in an interesting quest portion into the trial without necessarily giving away the answers.

Fauna Index

Here lies the master list of all creatures that exist within the realm of Chaos Unraveled. For a list of creatures that specifically addresses known creatures to either the Asgardians or Niflheimers, look at Asgard's Creature Knowledge and Niflheim's Creature Knowledge. Creatures listed there may or may not be known to characters within the game, and some will only come out during specific moments!

 Creatures from Earth

 Horses
Can be found: in any meadow area within the realm, however, they generally avoid the Twilight Meadow at night.

Not to be confused with the mythical angry-eyed only vaguely horselike creature drawn by Lina Inverse, there are domesticated and wild horses in the realm. Domesticated horses roam the northern meadows closer to Asgard, while wild horses roam the southern meadows closer to Niflheim. Both are of various breeds and temperaments.

The domesticated horses are slightly gentler and more easy to use if treated kindly (depending on the breed), and are at least vaguely familiar with barn life and tasks that might be given to them. Usually if one sees a shire horse, new forest pony or morgan horse, it is one of the domesticated herds.

The wilder horses can be much harder to deal with, depending on the breed.

For information on individual horse breeds, their appearances, and temperament, click here.

Glitch

 Basics
Where: Tin man
Birthday (if known):They never give dates in the series, so it is unclear as to when he was born (I have read, however, the Outer Zone or O.Z. was based off of the 1930's time period. So I guess 1898 would be a good guess on year?)
Age: appears to be 32
Species: Human
Sexual Orientation:Glitch seems like he is not really interested in such matters. The reason I say this is because he dedicated himself to the Queen, and thus I get the feeling he shut these sort of feelings away (or they turned into nothing more than duty-based feelings and not sexual in nature). Now, if he HAD shut away feelings such as those, who's to say they wouldn't resurface at a later time if persuaded enough?
Occupation: Comic relief during the series, but prior to his brain being removed, he was the right hand man and advisor to the Queen of the O.Z.
Reputation: Describe the character's reputation in his/her own world, but also include what their reputation seems to be so far in CU.

 His/Her World

 History and Legend
To give a little background on the original Wizard of Oz (I will be using the movie instead of the book because I myself have not read the 1900 published story):

The original Wizard of Oz is a story about finding those things you thought you had lost and come to find out you had all along, they just needed to be given a reason to surface. The story itself revolves around the young orphan Dorothy Gale, once living with her Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, her dog Toto, and the three farm hands in the sepia-toned Kansas before being whisked away to the fanciful, technocolored land of Oz.

This whisking away is all due to a wish Dorothy made in order to escape to a better place to save her dog Toto from being taken away and destroyed for biting the stern neighbor Miss Gulch. Once within the land of Oz, Dorothy finds that not only has Toto come along for the journey, but that her whole house has been deposited right in the middle of Munchkin land by the very same twister that bore her away from her old life.

Upon leaving her house, Dorothy is met by the good witch Glinda, informing her that she has killed the ruby slippered Wicked Witch of the West and that she has helped to save the Munchkins from the evil witch's reign. This good fortune and elated singing from the Munchkins is not to last, for the Wicked Witch of the East arrives in a cloud of smoke and fire in order to claim what once belonged to her sister: the ruby slippers and all their power contained within. It is these very same slippers that becomes the property of Dorothy thanks to a little magical help from Glinda.

The Wicked Witch of the East vows to take revenge on Dorothy for killing her sister before leaving in the very same cloud of smoke and fire that she had used as an entrance. It is here that Dorothy claims that she would like to return home, and is told that she needs to find her way to the Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz who lives in the Emerald City in order to find this very answer. Glinda advices Dorothy to never remove the ruby slippers upon her journey, and to follow the yellow brick road in order to find her way to the great Emerald City and to the answer that she seeks.

During her travels, Dorothy comes across the brainless Scarecrow, the heartless Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion whom all become friends and travel companions after Dorothy is able to prove herself to each of them by either doing something for them, or (in the case of the Cowardly lion) with the help of Toto to convince them. It is no wonder that these four ended up together upon this journey, for they were all seeking something that they thought they were lacking and later were proven that they had the very thing they seeked all along.

During their journey to the Emerald City, the Wicked Witch of the East tries her best to stop the four from reaching the Wizard, but her attempts obviously never worked for the quartet eventually makes it to see the Wizard of Oz, whom demands the broom handle of the Witch's broom in order to grant what they all seek. It is when they are on their way to the Witch's castle that Dorothy and Toto are kidnapped by flying monkeys (henchmen of the Witch), and taken away to be delivered to the very witch that the quartet was seeking in the first place.

While in her custody, the Wicked Witch demands that in exchange for Dorothy and Toto's lives, that the ruby slippers are to be given to her. Even though Dorothy agrees to the demands, the Witch is unable to remove the slippers and is forced into realizing that Dorothy herself must die in order to get what she wants (and locks Dorothy away until she can figure out how to kill her without damaging the shoes). It is during all of this that Toto escapes in order to find help, and help comes in the form of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion.

In the end, the witch is defeated by nothing more than common water, which melts her into a harmless puddle and the group is presented with the broom handle as a reward. Upon returning to the Emerald City, the group comes to learn that the Wizard is neither great or all powerful, but instead he is a mere man whom has the brains about him to convince the group they all had what they were seeking all along. The Wizard also reveals that he is actually from Kansas, and agrees to take Dorothy home via the very same balloon that brought him to Oz in the first place.

During the take off of the balloon, Toto suddenly leaps from the basket and this results in Dorothy being left behind by the Wizard. But this is not quite the end to the story, the Good Witch Glinda informs Dorothy that if she were to only click her heels three times and repeat 'There is no place like home' that Dorothy can return home without the help of the Wizard. When Dorothy questions the Good Witch as to why she was never told this at the start, Glinda responds that if Dorothy had not gone on the journey in the first place, that what she had been seeking as an answer was not in fact what she really wanted. It is with the three clicks of her heels and the repeat of the magic phrase that sends Dorothy home, finding herself laying down upon her very own bed with her family and friends around her to comfort the young girl whom is told she was simply a bad dream and nothing more.

The only one whom does not agree with everyone else is Uncle Henry, whom tells Dorothy that he believes her. Still convinced that her whole journey had been completely real, Dorothy hugs Toto and repeats the famous line "There's no place like home".

 Magic/Technology
The world of the O.Z is both filled with Magic and Technology. Most of the time it is a mixture of the two, and in Glitch's case, he used to be one who was more on the technological side of things while still having an understanding of magic (he was an inventor on top of being an advisor to the Queen), but this was all pretty much lost when his mind was removed.

 Personal Background
Glitch takes the role of the rather dimwitted Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz in this futuristic adaptation of the story. The Outter Zone (also known as the O.Z.), once a beautiful and free land, has become a veritable (and not so free) wasteland ruled by the ruthless, tyrannical Azkadellia (the wicked witch).

Glitch is a 'headcase', someone whom is not all right in the head; in Glitch's own words "because his synapses don't fire right". He has not always been this way, and there is a very good reason for this. Before Glitch became whom we all are introduced to within the first interaction between himself and DG, he was a man named Ambrose: brilliant inventor, intellectual, and the former adviser to the Queen of Oz.

Ambrose (Glitch) created many inventions, one of which became the cause for his current situation. The invention in question is something called a 'Sun Seeder', a device that was to be used to extend the length of the day as well as the growing season. This sun seeder, once in the wrong hands, becomes the 'Anti-sun seeder' and is planned to be used as a way to plunge the land of the O.Z. into complete darkness for the rest of time via the use of a Double Solar eclipse. Not only was the machine placed into the wrong hands, Ambrose's brain is removed completely from his head because of his refusal to do as the sorceress Azkadellia command of him (she is now the ruler of the O.Z., or Outer Zone and takes the part of the Wicked Witch in this story). This brain is what now powers the Anti-sun seeder, and with it's removal, Ambrose looses much of whom he is and is now simply known as Glitch; a man whom remembers very little and often times repeats himself due to his missing mind.

Glitch often states that he had his brain removed because he knew far too much, and that he is unable to remember just exactly what it was that he knew that caused this to happen. In this very state that Glitch is sent out into the land of the O.Z. without his real name or memories to help guide him.

Between the time that Glitch has his altercation with Azkadellia and the first meeting with DG (she takes the part of Dorothy and arrived in the land of the O.Z. in much the same fashion as her predecessor), one can only assume that he had been wandering the countryside before being captured by the munchkins; now blue faced revolutionaries that dress more like wild savages than in the fanciful costumes of the original Wizard of Oz. Glitch is kept for nothing more than a laugh, tied into a birdcage hung high above the ground. It is here that DG and Glitch fist meet, and it is also where we learn that DG is now in the land of the O.Z. and how Glitch received his name.

DG helps to set Glitch and herself free from their captors only to have to run from men dressed in long, black coats aptly dubbed 'Long Coats', Azkadellia's henchmen and her long arm of the law that she subjugates the people of the O.Z. to. This avoidance of the Long Coats allows for DG and Glitch to end up becoming completely lost due to the fact Glitch can not remember the way to the 'Brick Route' (yellow brick road) even though he states over and over that he does. We also see that Glitch's memory seems to have its good & bad moments when it chooses to allow for some rather 'holy' (a.k.a full of holes) logic to be spoken.

During this rather circular navigating that ends up with DG and Glitch wandering aimlessly through the forest, they happen upon a holographic scene that seems almost too real. So real in fact, that DG takes up a stick and prepares herself to try and help the poor people being attacked by what seems like real Long coats. Once the scene is disrupted, Glitch explains that it is a holographic stored energy time loop, and this time loop is what the next character in the story has been watching for 8 long years. Wyatt Cain (the tin man) was locked within a tin suit and left to witness the abduction of his family as punishment for his part in the resistance. This over-exposure has left Cain a 'heartless' man; his compassion and caring for others long since left behind with the passing of time. Cain, as we come to find out used to serve as one of the members of the Emerald City (or Central City) police force, aptly known as 'Tin Men' and the basis for the title of the series.

Once Cain has cleaned himself up, he proceeds to calls Glitch a headcase and explains that it is someone whom has had their brain removed to 'reeducate' them and make them a prisoner of their own mind; one which does not require the use of walls or a cell to keep them confined. Normally reserved for criminals, it seems it is also used on innocent people as in the case of Glitch. At first Cain states that he isn't there to travel with 'children and convicts' even though he is headed to the brick route. Once DG announces that she and Glitch are going to find the the brike route on their own, Cain states that the route lies beyond the field of the Papés (akin to the poppy field where people fall asleep and never wake up). Even though he is opposed to traveling with anyone, Cain can not leave DG and Glitch to fend for themselves and accompanies them along the next part of their journey in order to reach the road to Central City.

The field of the Papés is where the forth member of the little band is discovered, cocooned within a predigestive sac. Before they can even learn the name of the person they had just saved, they are attacked by Papés and are forced to run for their lives. They end up jumping over the edge of a cliff to escape, landing in a stream far below and well out of the reach of the Papés. It is here they learn that Raw (the cowardly lion) is a viewer, someone who can see into the very minds of anyone they touch by using their heart to tell the truth from lies; it also seems that Raw is able to heal wounds by touching them.

With the help of DG's Foster Parents, now to be known androids programmed to love and protect DG like she was their own, we come to learn that the land of the O.Z. has come into ruin in only 15 short years. It is at this point DG is told she needs to seek out the Mystic Man (the Wizard of Oz) who resides within the Central City in order to find her real mother and some real answers to her past. It is this past that continues to play a rather large role throughout the entire miniseries, as each small piece of the puzzle is continually put back into place within DG's mind thanks to the help from her friends.

Upon the little quartet's journey to find the Mystic man in Central City, Glitch rambles on about the Mystic man helping DG find her mother (a way home), 'filling his noggin' (brain), giving Raw a 'spine' (courage), and doing something about Cain's bad attitude (a heart). All of these elude to the very things that all four of the original characters from Oz were seeking from the Wizard. However the Mystic Man is found to be far more human, and far less 'great' as his reputation has famed him to be. It is the Mystic man whom sets the quartet on their way towards finding DG's past memories, and the key to the O.Z.'s future.

The four end up running all over the land of the O.Z. in search of the keys to DG's past, learning along the way that her old tutor Toto is alive but working for Azkadellia in order to keep his freedom, that her father is still alive and well, that Azkadellia is actually DG's sister, and that it will take DG & her friends all that they have in order to set things right and defeat the evil power that has possessed Azkadellia. We also learn that DG had a hand in helping her sister to become possessed by the spirit of the original Wicked Witch that the original Dorothy (her great, great grandmother) had defeated all those years prior.

We find that Glitch has the ability to fight using martial arts without actually remembering how or where he had learned the skills (he does remember that he used to be quite the dancer and makes a rather funny reference to this before the fight with the Long Coats, remarking to Cain that 'it's all in the rhythm'). Glitch continuously plays a rather important role in helping DG towards her goal of finding her mother and reconnecting with her memories. Towards the end of the story, Glitch comes face to face with himself, or rather his brain, which had become the CPU or the central nervous center for the Anti-sun seeder. It is only when Raw helps him to reconnect with his own lost mind that he finally gains access to all of his memories, including his real name. But this is not to last, due to the fact that the connection is only temporary thanks to Raw's ability to see within someone's mind by touching them, or in the case of Glitch, both the mind and the body must be touched together to gain access to the information.

In the end, the witch is forced from within Azkadellia and is defeated by the power of the two sisters (as well as from the help of Cain, Glitch, and Raw). It is not known if Glitch regained his mind even though he did have some contact with it for a short period of time, but it can be safe to say that he at least learned some about his own past that he had forgotten along the way.

 Appearance
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145lbs
Skin color: Pale white
Hair: Brown and rather crazy (almost like short, curly dreads that stick out all over the place and move out/away from the zipper)
Eyes: Greenish-brown, he also looks as if he is wearing eye shadow due to the slight dark contrast of the skin of his eyelids compared to the rest of his pale complexion

Glitch is rather lean for his height, but he does have some toned muscle mass hidden under all of his clothing, as well as a few scars I am sure from his time of being tortured for disobeying orders to run a machine that would have brought complete darkness to the O.Z. The torturing is touched on briefly when we see how his brain was removed for knowing too much.

His most prominent feature, is the zipper that runs from where his hairline begins high on his forehead and ends in the back of his head (resulting from having his brain removed). This zipper split's the top of his head in two, meaning you have the right half and the left half of his head with the zipper running down the middle and there is no hair actually touching the zipper itself.

Quirks
There are quite a few quirks about Glitch; first and foremost would be his very faulty memory. He no longer has his brain (but he still can function without it), and thus his memory is very shoddy and tends to reset itself quite often (In his words, "His brain synapses' don't fire right all of the time"). This resetting not only causes him to forget, it also causes him to repeat himself more than once. And I don't mean just repeating a word (or phrase), he repeats even the mannerisms associated with what he has just previously stated. Normally someone has to either say something or physically touch him in order to make him snap out of this 'glitch' state.

This is not to say he can not remember anything, just most of the time it comes in spurts, and his logic can be quite riddled with holes. If someone were to interact with him only one time, he has less of a chance of remembering them. If they interact with him on a very regular basis, Glitch has a higher percentage of remembering them after a short amount of time (this is proven in the series itself).

Another quirk of Glitch's is the fact that no matter if he can't remember, he still tries to help those he is with and will continue to have a rather upbeat attitude despite the situation. I am not saying that he will not react accordingly to what is going on, but in general he tends to be a rather upbeat and happy character (I think this mostly due to the fact that he can't remember his emotional baggage, thus he has nothing weighing his heart down)

 Talents, Powers, Etc.

 Talents/Powers/Skills

Because Glitch is who he is, I'm sure that his inventive side comes out without thinking about it. Inventing useable objects without knowing what they are or their use would seem rather feasible, being that idle hands often time do what is most comfortable to that single person, and in Glitch's case he used to be a brilliant inventor and inventing would come naturally to him even without the knowledge. His martial arts fighting skills also are a part of who Glitch is, even if he refers to them as purely 'dance' and rhythm as his guide. He does not make any mention to how he obtained said skills, but I am sure that it more muscle memory than actual remembering that allows him to perform the feats that he does in protecting/fighting. There is also the chance that his memory of being able to dance has mixed with his martial art skill memories, and thus he contributes these abilities as purely dance and nothing more.

Glitch has been known to spout off rather useful information about various topics, but this is mostly associated with coming in contact with something from his past and not exactly with it being totally off the wall (although it has been known to happen). He has been known to actually speak relevant information about situations however, but these are less likely to occur than the information about things from his past itself.

A prime example of his logic at work when faced with something from his past or something that he knows:

The scene with the Holographic time loop where Glitch not only knows what the acronym of the name stands for, but he also remembers how it works (or rather what it does) and that he believes that he was the original inventor.

 Notable Items
Glitch really doesn't carry much on him due to the fact he tends to forget (a lot), and he may not outright fear being strapped down, but due to the fact he had to be strapped down to have his brain removed, I'm sure it is a completely involitary fear that can come about if he were to find himself completely unable to move.

 Relationships
Because Glitch forgets quite often, his relationships (friendships) currently do not last very long due to his forgetful nature (but people seem to enjoy his company dispite this fact)

 Current Plots
No current plots of which to speak of

Lina Inverse

 Basics
Where she comes from: Slayers (Anime)
Birthday (if known): In the anime, it's not stated. Unofficially, we'll go with August 2nd.
Age: 17
Species: Human, sorceress
Sexual Orientation: For the most part she seems heterosexual, but the "right" girl could probably alter this a little.
Occupation: Sorceress, Sorceress Supreme (self-titled), Bandit Killer, The Enemy of All Who Live, The Dragon Spooker...
Reputation: In her world, Lina Inverse is infamous and humans and dragons alike fear her chaotic nature. Though she saves the world numerous times, she is innately selfish, capricious and carelessly destructive. Even her friends, who know there is more to her than that, often have to find some way to stop her from causing more trouble in a bad situation - something they are not always successful at.

In Chaos Unraveled, people tend to view her as an odd young woman who eats way too much and is pretty irresponsible, though sometimes she's said things that have oddly pleased others. She's also known to be absolutely horrible at drawing horses, though she's excellent at anything magic-related from her world.

 Her World

 History and Legend
Lina Inverse comes from a world where magic is the normal way of things. Her world was created in a similar style to what you would expect of a Dungeons & Dragons world, heavily lacking in technology except where it might relate to magic.

There is a "godly" race and a "demonic" race within her world. The "godly" race is the known in Japanese as the Shinzoku, simply called the Dragon Gods in the Slayers universe. The Dragon Gods are Ceipheed and the four Dragon Lords he split into, and Dragons pretty much worship them - though even Dragons are much more powerful than humans. The "demonic" race cannot be translated into English well. The true translation of Mazoku is "race of evil", and calling them demons doesn't quite cover the race of the Mazoku. In the end, most fans of Slayers refer to the Mazoku as...Mazoku, to preserve the uniqueness of the race while keeping the Dragon race name intact. The supreme Dragon is the Red Dragon God "Flare Dragon" Ceiphied while the supreme Mazoku is the Dark Lord "Ruby-Eye" Shabranigdo. These two races are constantly fighting each other. Supposedly, if the Dragons win peace will come. If the Mazoku win, they will destroy the world and return it to chaos.

Ceipheed and Shabranigdo fought for ages until finally, Ceipheed managed to split Shabranigdo into seven pieces, preventing him from coming back to life. To make it even more difficult, each piece was sealed in a human soul. As humans are reincarnated in the Slayers universe, this would wear down Shabranigdo's power and, in theory, eventually destroy him. Ceipheed was so exhausted by this that he had to return to the Sea of Chaos, leaving only four parts of himself and his soul behind.

The four parts of Ceipheed became the Aqualord Ragradia (sometimes called the Water Dragon King), Flarelord Vrabazard, Airlord Valwin, and Earthlord Rangort.

Peace did not last.

About a thousand years before Lina Inverse was born, the War of the Monster's Fall occured. It is one of the greatest conflicts in the Slayers universe ever mentioned. The war was started by one of the five Mazoku Lords, Hellmaster Phibrizo. He wanted to release one of the pieces of Shabranigdo and destroy the Aqualord. To cut a long story short, Hellmaster Phibrizo managed to surround a section of the world in a Mazoku Barrier, sealing all those within it and preventing humans from traveling past the walls. A powerful, infamous sorcerer known as Lei Magnus held one of the pieces of Shabranigdo and it was released due to the Hellmaster's attempts, but the Aqualord managed to seal Lei Magnus and the piece of Shabranigdo within a block of magical ice in the north. The Aqualord "won" against Shabranigdo and his forces, but she won at a terrible cost. She died, but part of her remained: her nearly endless knowledge took the form of the Claire Bible, and the remaining thoughts of herself protect the Claire Bible as an old, tiny, grandmotherly woman known as Auntie Aqua.

The effects of the war brought monsters into the world, such as trolls, and inner turmoil between the Dragons, who went so far as to massacre the Ancient Dragons, one of the Dragon races.

Within the Mazoku Barrier, magic evolved and humans became adept at using black, shamanistic and white spells. Outside of the Mazoku Barrier, magic never takes as strong a hold and technology (though still in a fantastical Middle Age, not-very-modern-at-all sense) is turned to instead.

 Magic
Magic has four forms: black, white, shamanistic and holy. The fourth form, holy (sometimes called divine instead), was lost to humans within the Mazoku Barrier as it prevented such magic from being cast. Holy magic is the true opposite of black magic in that it draws upon the power of Ceipheed and his lords.

In black magic, there are spells that draw power from a specific being (Dragon Slave), spells that draw on Mazoku forces, curses, and summoning spells. The most powerful black magic spells are the spells that draw power from a specific being. However, when a Mazoku who is attached to the spell is destroyed, the spell fails to work from then on.

White magic draws upon the caster's own life force. White magic is devoted to healing and defense. The strongest person in white magic that Lina knows of is Sylphiel Nels Rada, a shrine maiden who is absolutely in love with her blonde travelling companion, Gourry Gabriev. Sylphiel proved capable of erecting defense spells that stood strong against incredibly powerful attacks.

Shamanistic magic draws upon the energy of the natural world around the caster, or from the astral plane. The strongest spell in astral magic is the Ra Tilt, which is extremely powerful against spiritual beings (namely Mazoku) and equal in power to a Dragon Slave.

There is a slightly less known fifth form of magic, technically. It isn't named and there are only two known spells of this kind. Lina Inverse invented one herself, not fully knowing the true source of the power she was drawing it from. The second, Lina learned about from a manuscript of the Claire Bible. The first is the Giga Slave, the second is the Ragna Blade. To explain the immense power this fifth form requires for a human, information about the Dragon Slave must be shared. The Dragon Slave is said to be possible to cast only if the human holds the most magical capacity a human being can hold. A Giga Slave is even more immensely powerful (the Ragna Blade is also), but it is extremely dangerous to use. You see, the Slayers world (and three others) was born from a Sea of Chaos, and this Creator is actually the Lord of Nightmares. The Lord of Nightmares essentially tore pieces of herself away to create the worlds and everything within them, and now she is a lonely existence constantly desiring to become whole again. In casting the Giga Slave, Lina draws the Lord of Nightmares within herself, and a split second break in concentration or loss of control over the spell could result in the Lord of Nightmares taking control of her body. With Lina as a vessel, the Lord of Nightmares would then proceed to destroy everything so that she could become whole again. Both the Giga Slave and the Ragna Blade are incredibly destructive, but the Giga Slave is far too dangerous to be used.

Though Lina has to cast the Giga Slave more than once in the Slayers anime, she only uses it willingly the first time she is shown using it. Technically, that is the second time she casts the Giga Slave as she first tested it out on a body of water. After using it on Shabranigdo and learning the truth of the Giga Slave from Sylphiel, she avoids using it at almost any cost.

 Personal Background
Lina actually comes from a rural country within her world, known as Zephilia. Her father is an ex-mercenary, her mother an ex-sorceress, and her older sister Luna Inverse is a Knight of Ceipheed (an immensely powerful individual with a piece of Ceipheed's power) who works part-time as a waitress. When Lina was much younger and wanted to make money, she basically sold projections of Luna bathing. Luna ended up punishing her and Lina has been terrified of her since. It seems that while Lina is utterly afraid of her sister, her sister's immense powers made Lina the person she is today. Lina gained an inferiority complex (demonstrated constantly by her projection of an immensely large ego to hide it, despite her excellence) and became utterly obsessed with magic.

By the age of fourteen she was already famous (mostly in ways she didn't want - see: Dragon Spooker, The Enemy of All Who Live.) The first season of Slayers takes place when Lina is fifteen. NEXT takes place while she is sixteen. During TRY she is seventeen, which is why she's seventeen coming into Chaos Unraveled. She is also a member of a sorcery guild - one which bestows color names to powerful magic users. Lina received a color title herself, but she tries not to advertise this. It isn't because she doesn't want the glory, it's because the title utterly destroys one's pride. Lina's title is a simple one - Lina the Pink. Within Chaos Unraveled, she will not use white magic at all. Lina Inverse is a magical genius, however, so watch out!

 Skills

 Notable Items

 Relationships

 Current Plots

The Rules

 On Joining the Game
1) Your character(s) must be approved once submitted to the moderator's CU email address.
The character submission format is elsewhere.

2) After the character you've submitted is accepted, then you should make a character journal for the character and to post in the community roleplay threads as well. Please email me once again with the IJ you will be using for the character, and then request to join the community. I will then know to accept the IJ account’s request. If you do this before your character is accepted, the request to join will be deleted and ignored. (And if you make a mistake, it’s okay! Just do it right the next time.)

3) After joining, you need to post in a thread at least two times a week. More than that is encouraged and highly appreciated, but the moderator does understand we all have lives. You are highly encouraged to post under your character's journal as well. As long as you show that you're active, the moderator won't get concerned, so don't worry about the numbers - they only come into play if you're so inactive it becomes a problem.

 Characters
4) Your character may not be an overpowered God. The moderators of the group are the ones who decide if your character is too powerful or not. Your character can be skilled, but they cannot be unbeatable by everyone in the worlds.

5) Your character(s) must not immediately be a supreme, all-knowledgeable character after a simple few days of entering the realm. Also, though it is YOU who has the ultimate choice in what your characters do, please do not make them the ultimate evil without a) proper cause and b) consulting with the moderators. If six characters all decide on doing one similar thing, that wouldn’t be very fun now, would it?

6) Respect the Non-Player Characters, played by the moderators. These do not count towards the moderators character count, and they may still have their designated maximum of three characters to create. NPCs, however, exist to continue moving the story along, whatever it turns out to be. Lucifer and Metatron are NPCs that you cannot kill. This is because of their potential plot value, and the fact that they're there to referee the characters and stop them from killing each other within the story. In other words, if you attempt to kill them, you may end up with a nasty surprise – IF they’re the kind of character who wouldn’t let you off the hook.

7) For the sake of keeping things interesting for all players and characters, things shouldn't focus on one character alone. People are encouraged to have different characters interacting with each other in different ways so that everyone has a part to play and a way to participate. If I see that someone is monopolizing everyone's time and harrassing people if they don't focus on them alone, I will inquire as to what is going on.

8) YOU MAY NOT IGNORE CHARACTERS. Seriously, i've seen this problem a lot in RPGs. If you don't like someone outside of the RPG, DO NOT bleed it into the RPG. The game is about having fun with your CHARACTERS. You are not playing yourself - so don't ignore someone's character entirely just because you don't like the character. It's immature and ridiculous.

9) You may have up to three characters. Your characters can be anyone from any realm - be it a book, a movie, a tv show, an anime or a video game, you get the point. If you choose a godlike character for any reason, you must tone the character's abilities way, way down. If you wouldn't enjoy doing that to a godlike character? Don't play one.

You are only allowed to have, at most, two original characters. It will, however, be very hard to get more than one original character accepted. You are allowed to choose not to have any original characters as well and have three characters. You do not have to play the maximum number of characters.

So, you can have any combination of original and not original characters, but the minimum is two. The exception is only if you have proved yourself time and again of capable, interesting OCs that interact well within CU. For a third to be approved, you would literally have to amaze the moderator with your character concept - while at the same time she is going to be strict about it. However, again - in general, there will only be two originals per person allowed maximum, and it will be extremely hard to get more than one accepted due to the fact that this is intended to be a MULTIVERSE roleplay game, not an original characters only game.

10) If your character is male, unless they are cursed or have a Malfunction Day befall them, they cannot become pregnant. I'm not sure why someone would want to get pregnant in a game like this, but if your character is male? He doesn't have the parts for it. It is impossible. Thus, while Chaos Unraveled accepts heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, and whatever kind of behavior, Chaos Unraveled asks that you remember that your character cannot somehow be able to bear children and have male organs. Unless the story they come from specifically gives them that ability. If you want to roleplay a guy getting pregnant at random you might want to look elsewhere.

 On Writing in General

11) The community will be using a post and comment system of roleplaying on the community page. One character begins a scene and other characters may reply and interact. Please make your posts more than a sentence or two long. Go into detail on what your character is doing, thinking, whatever. You can have short posts, but having multiple one-sentence posts frustrate other players and are difficult to interact with. You will receive warnings.

12) When it comes to the lj posts on each character's individual journals, their entries can be as short as desired, or as long as they want. As they're the journal entries, they must be done in first person (unless the character talks in third person or something), while the community RP threads must be in third person.

13) Spelling counts when you post – keep this in mind. If you dedcude ta tlk liek this (if you decide to talk like this), I will be forced to kick you out of this particular rpg after three warnings. You don’t have to be perfect, spelling mistakes happen. All I ask is that you do not speak like this: I r not total n00b. I don't expect perfection, nor am I grading you!

14) Do not control other characters, either NPC or another player character, without that character’s specific agreement. If a player character you decide to “take control of” for a post or two informs me that it was done without their permission, you will get a warning. If you continue to do so, you will eventually be kicked out of the roleplay. If I hear no complaints however, I will assume that players have consented.

As an example:
Mariabelle’s player character writing upon meeting Chronos:

Chronos was shocked at meeting Mariabelle so suddenly. His jaw was open slightly.

That’s not very fun for the person writing Chronos, as it makes him lose the option of reacting to what’s going on himself.

15) No character may be an expert on every competition or task that comes up and areas of experience they would not have had in their own storyline unless given express permission by the moderator. The same for a player character unless given permission by the controller of that character. For example, Jim may not know everything about Tony if he's never met Tony before in his life.

16) You may not kill each other's characters without reasoning. While it is possible for characters to die, it is extremely difficult as the entire point was for God and Satan to have an entertaining contest to see who wins. Simply having everyone kill each other wouldn't be as amusing as this. If, for whatever unlikely reason (and with the OK of a player), a character dies, then the player may submit a new character to play from then on.

17) Relationships of any type is tolerated. Non-canon pairings are supported as well. However, if a player does not want to write a relationship between your character and his or hers, please respect that.

18) Also, as I heard this is sometimes requested of games: This RP allows R rated content but not NC-17 content. Anything smutty that you and another character wish to write, however, must be written and shared only with an IJ cut of warning, for example: SMUT ALERT, CLEAR OUT. This way, people who don't want to read it, don't have to. CU currently has a 'smut' tag, and the mod expects this to be used in these cases.

19) Your character cannot be in two places at once, unless your character is of some very, very unique nature involving two bodies or something. While your character may be posting in multiple threads, they cannot be taking place at the same time.

20) Please be aware that OOC knowledge does not match IC knowledge. You will undoubtedly know more about what's going on than your characters do. Keep track of that.

How to Post in a Community Thread

21) When you want to start a scene of your own, it's important that you follow the WHO, WHERE, WHEN, RATING, WARNINGS, SUMMARY method in the beginning of the post before having an lj-cut to the actual paragraph(s) of a thread starter. An example:

WHO: Lezard and Lenneth
WHERE: A large lake
WHEN: April 11th in the evening
RATING: PG
WARNINGS: None, except Lezard being Lezard
SUMMARY: Lezard bothers Lenneth as she tries to have a moment of peace by a lake.

After that, it would be followed by an lj-cut to the actual paragraph(s) of a thread starter.
Also, don't forget - if you want to mark the thread as open to other people joining in, put [Open!] beside the list of names currently in the thread.

22) When there's more than two characters in a thread, try to keep a rough organization to the thread. There will not be a tag system employed due to how it can involuntarily shut out other characters in the thread. In general, try to make it so that the comments cycle in a rough order, 1st person 1st, 2nd, 3rd, repeat 1st, 2nd, 3rd, repeat. Etc. However, feel free to break this on occasion when people feel that a certain character needs to respond next. Rough order, but not so strict that things can't flow. If you're confused, just ask the people you're RPing with!

23) Be careful about threads! To make sure no one gets overwhelmed, you can only have two threads going on for a character at a time at maximum. Also, if you want a thread to end or think it's dying down, talk to the other player about it! There should be an eventual end to threads, don't just have them die without communication. You can always have another thread involving more interaction later.

How to Post in a Character Journal

24) You post as you would in any online journal, except as the character would. Should you wish to post heavy, detailed, smut-style thoughts about another character, LJ-CUT this with a warning. No one who doesn't want to read about it should need to.

25) ALL entries for your character must be public. If you want it to be a "private" post, LJ-CUT the entire entry with "Private" as the title of the cut. If your character wants to have a "secret" journal entry to share only with a select number of people, use an LJ-CUT and for its title say "PRIVATE TO [Whoever]"

For example, if Lezard wanted only Lenneth to be able to read a certain entry, he would use the lj-cut title of "Private to Lenneth."

 General Conduct

26) Respect other players time constraints. Having a life is fully encouraged, and this game is meant to be fun, not stressful! If a person is having a busier week, don't start whining about how they're ignoring your characters.

27) Don't harrass players into writing things they're not comfortable with. If they're okay with having a situation happen, but not comfortable with fully writing it out, simply post journal reactions to the event or whatever. If they're not, then don't! Players should feel comfortable to write what they want, experiment with what they want, but they also should not feel that they have to write material they don't desire to. Another example would be not wanting to immediately pair up one of their characters with yours - attraction is fine, but if a player doesn't feel that their character would ICly like yours at the point you want them to, then let it go! The story may eventually change it, or it simply won't happen.

28) Passive aggressive or general pain in the assery about players, personal attacks on them, etc. are not welcome. Problems may happen, but try to work them out with the players or talk to the mod about things IF you need a mediator (I have faith in people's abilities to solve things on their own, but i'll also extend a hand if you feel it's necessary), but actually being cruel to people can and will probably get you kicked permanently from the game. Again, this is only a game, and meant to be fun - not a way for anyone to vent their frustrations on people.

However, if there's a problem, even if you're dealing with it and whatnot on your own, don't be afraid to drop the mod a line. I like to know what's going on so I can try to make sure everything's working, but I won't jump in and start smacking heads together unless it's necessary, I promise. <3

29) This game is, again, meant to be fun. People of all writing abilities are welcome as long as they can write clearly and understandably AND follow the rules. Mistakes in typing can happen, sometimes even just through being overly eager to write a character's response! I don't expect everyone to excel and be literary geniuses, and harrassing or ignoring characters or players for such reasons is considered, quite obviously, harrassment and unnecessary.

30) If you're ever confused about something, ask around! Keep the communication lines open with other players and feel free to discuss and plot things together, as well as turn to each other when confused about something. Someone'll be able to help you out! Don't be embarrassed, it's quite possible that what you want to ask was on someone else's mind already.

 Everything Else

31) If at any point life seems to be troublesome and you need some time away from the game or you just plain won't be available for a long period of time, do your best to clear up the RP threads you're in (or at least your involvement in them), and then alert the moderator that you need to leave the game temporarily. Your character(s) will be held for a specified period of time, during which there will be a plot excuse for why your character(s) are out of play for the time being. If you need to or just want to leave the game eventually, PLEASE, don't be afraid to talk to the moderator about it! Let us know, and that way we can take care of things so that everything works out as best it can.

Also, if at some point you get rid of a character and want to try another because of a loss of interest, just talk to the moderator about it. Things might be able to be worked out.

If you have questions after reading this section carefully, please feel free to make a thread on this page. OR, if you feel intimidated at the thought of others being able to read your questions, email your questions to me through the aforementioned email address.

Eventually, there will probably be a FAQ if people have questions that warrant in-depth explanations.

The Characters

The characters are a very important part of the game. To use typical roleplaying game terms, there are non-player characters and player characters. The player characters are yet again divided into whether they are on Hell's side or Heaven's side.

 Non-Player Characters
The Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are, essentially, law-enforcers. Instead of Chaos Unraveled having a mod simply tell people that things aren't allowed even though it might be in-character for them to do something problematic, non-player characters function within the game to force characters to obey laws. They have their own backgrounds, personalities, and are essentially fully interactable. The only catch is that NPCs do have certain notable differences to player characters.

The differences:
- NPCs do not have to abide by the two-thread only rule, because it might stop them from being able to hinder the breaking of a law within another thread.
- NPCs can kill off characters without permission. Threatening and bothering Lucifer too much, for example, is a very risky thing indeed.
- NPCs may intrude upon closed threads to enforce the rules.
- NPCs cannot be overpowered by player characters. The NPCs will always, always, be stronger - this is not to be insulting, that isn't the intent at all. The reason for this is so that plot-wise, the NPCs can always enforce the law no matter who they're standing up against.

Despite these, NPCs are meant to be fun to interact with and you can use and abuse them for plot ideas and even just when your character has no one else to interact with.

The Non-Player Characters are...

 Lucifer

Credit: Person

Lucifer is not Satan and it drives him mad to even be referred to as him. In Chaos Unraveled, Lucifer is Satan's chosen representative, a 'favorite' given the honor and tricky task of being a leader and mentor for those who join Hell's side. He is much less of a mentor than Metatron, and often causes as many troublesome events towards his own people as towards those on Heaven's side. It is clear that Lucifer does not want Heaven to win, but he is not safe even for his own. Learn more...

 Metatron

Icon Credit: CU Mod

Metatron is not entirely true to what one might find if they researched Metatron on a traditional wikipedia or did research on angels. He dearly loves all of the people who are on Heaven's side and seems to harbor no true, sincere ill will towards even those in Niflheim. It is uncertain whether his soft, questionably teasing remarks towards those on the other side (especially Lucifer) are jests or simply Metatron's obliviously, enthusiastic nature shining through. We come from different cultures, different backgrounds - sometimes tv ratings aren't even the same for us. But in CU, there is a particular rating system that will be used to rate threads to make ratings less of a gray area.

Keep note - this is just for the game, to make sure that things have a more organized rating list. Also, the moderator welcomes questions or requests for further clarification - feel free to describe a scene and ask about what ratings it might have as an example, too.

Rated: G
G in CU means that this is safe for all player's eyes. There is no swearing, no real violence, and generally is just a fun, cute thread. This might mean that characters had a simple conversation over coffee, Dr. Cox spent his time figuring out how to repair Jazz's body, or even Metatron giving someone flowers and confusing them.

 Rated: PG
PG means that there's a little bit of swearing, a little bit of violence, or even a tiny bit of sexual hinting. What this means is that most threads will probably be of PG or PG-13 rating. An example of a PG thread might be one where Mitchell and Balam curse at each other in anger, but end up calming down and focusing on other things. Another good example would be a thread like the one where Strix just busted through a window and scared the daylights out of Dr. Cox early in CU, if I recall correctly. There was nudity in that thread, but it wasn't sexual or anything of the sort.

 Rated: PG-13
Here is probably where the majority of threads will be, folks. PG-13 isn't...really PG-13 in CU, but it works as a familiar rating name. It means that when you click on that thread, you might end up reading a lot of swearing, some violence, and/or sexual situations that don't become a sex scene. If you mark anything as PG-13, you're probably safe. PG-13 generally means that it's more than PG, but not quite R, either.

 Rated: R
There are a few things that instantly earn an R rating no matter what. These things are sex, drugs, and detailed torture. This is more than simply kicking someone around and making someone feel miserable - that'd be PG-13. Rated R would be Sal dragging someone around by the hair, ripping their hair out, carving out fingernails and generally terrifying some poor soul to death. However, one can't go too far either - or else you hit the NC-17 rating, which is not allowed. R means there is either sex, whether it's sweet, rough, or whatever; drug use in any sort of manner (as far as the illegal substances go - or even medication if it's used that way); or torture rather than simple fighting. Heavy, dark fighting might also end up earning an R rating, but it depends on how violent the situation becomes.

 Rated: NC-17
This is the area you don't want to hit, because your thread will either be deleted entirely or you'll be forced to rewrite it from this point on in Chaos Unraveled. The game allows R-rated content, not what CU itself considers NC-17. NC-17 includes dismemberment (exception: you MAY request permission from the mod to specifically have your character lose a certain limb, but this MUST be a request, with explanations of why) as dismemberment in almost all cases would be permanent; mutilation; heavy drug use; rape; extreme methods of torture that include sexual harrassment such as forced piercings, limb removal, poisoning during rape, cutting up parts of someone and sewing them back up, or marking up one's own or another's genitalia; the pedophilic style of hurting someone yet manipulating their body in such a way that forces them to enjoy it even though they are completely humiliated and their psyche destroyed by it; pedophilia (of COURSE this is not allowed); and other such extreme measures.

 Exceptions to the rule:

You might, if you discuss with the mod and explain the entire plan, be able to garner permission for an almost-rape scene, or overly extreme torture session where a character is likely to have such a terrible experience, but only if they are going to be rescued during the beginning moments of such an event. This is because the interruption would, in the mods eyes, make it R, and it would allow an opportunity for characters to unite and work together to save someone. However, do not take this exception to mean that permission for such a plan will be likely - the mod in no way desires for this exception to become "common practice."

The NC-17 list may be added to or altered. Also, you may leave comments in CU's suggestion box and discuss with the mod, and others (via the suggestion box please) if you would like more examples, any questions, or ask the mod if you have a hypothetical thread summary you are wondering about and want to know what it might be rated, or simply if you want to see more things added or removed from the NC-17 list.

Please keep in mind however, there are dozens, dozens of roleplaying groups that allow the content not allowed in this game. This roleplaying game was never meant to be a game where the major source of entertainment comes from the self-destruction of characters tearing themselves and others apart, if that makes sense, though in-character drama is always welcome. I, personally, have always wanted to see a variety of different things in roleplaying games, and too often do I see only the NC-17 stuff listed and other extreme dramatics focused on. This game is meant to be something where light and dark plots can unite, without the darker plots being allowed to run entirely rampant and destroy the light parts of the game.

Christopher Carrion

 Basics
What world they came from: The Abarat
Birthday: Unknown
Age: Unknown, estimated between 30-60 years of age. He rules his island with an iron fist and keeps a Machiavellian philosophy. He tortures his enemies into insanity, or sometimes even his own servants in order to keep the others in line. Though his cruelty is well known, his grandmother, Mater Motley, is even more feared in the Abaratian archipelago.

In Chaos Unraveled, he is the "creepy man with the fishtank on his head." To the Asgardians, he keeps the demeanor of a gentleman as much as possible and tries to show no signs of his temper. Depending on how certain Niflheimers treat him determines how he will respond to them. Clever, intelligent characters are left alone and watched closely, while characters who annoy him are at best treated with disdain, or worse, are seen as a threat. See 'Relationships' for more information.

 His World

 History/Legend

 Magic

 Personal Background

 The Abarat, Book I
 Summary here.

The Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War, Book II
 Summary here.

Appearance
Though his body appears as frail as a human’s, his intimidating presence suggests an otherworldly power. Purplish-gray skin is stretched over his thin bones. His lips are torn by the stitches his own grandmother had sewn, and his face is often described as a death’s-head. He stands over six feet tall. He often wears silvery robes and chain mail gloves. His eyes have been described as milky-colored and dead-looking. Carrion’s most unique characteristic lies in the translucent glass collar, which encircles his neck and covers half of his face. It holds a blue fluid where his nightmares can manifest and swim. Straight from Carrion’s own twisted mind, they’re able to enter reality through the two pipes connected to the back of his skull.

 Talents, Powers, Etc.

 Talents/Skills

 Powers

 Relationships
Jazz was the first resident of Nifilheim that Carrion encountered besides Lucifer. Realizing that he could not control or manipulate a robot that did not give off “organic” feelings, he decided that Jazz was good enough to be someone he could speak with and help on occasion. Una was his assigned roommate until she destroyed his things in the Tower, and so he has an absolute grudge against her. Light Yagami was someone Carrion tortured so that he could gain Lucifer’s prize. He recognizes Lucifer’s power to affect the residents of the realm and notes that pleasing the Devil’s Servant has more advantages than disadvantages.

Dante, Strix, and Albert Wesker are characters he sees as having the most intelligence and cunning, and therefore are the most useful to him. In Sal, he sees a penchant for cruelty as strong as his own, and so watches the asexual being closely.

Lina Inverse absolutely vexes him, but Carrion takes pleasure in the fact that mentioning his royal status will vex her. The strongest relationship he has (or thinks he has) is with Alice Elliot, who reminds him strongly of Princess Boa’s kinder qualities. They have only spoken over the communication system, but Carrion did deliver a gift to her once: a music box, but hidden within it is a device that allows him to spy on her.

 Questions Raised in CU
Listed here are several questions that cannot be answered with canon. The roleplayer of Christopher Carrion attempted to answer these questions in-character while remaining true to Carrion's material in the books.

 How does Carrion eat?

This was mentioned in Carrion's first thread with Jazz the Cypertronian. It appears to be physically impossible for Carrion to consume food through the mouth due to the strange apparatus around his head. Instead of normal food, he uses his nightmare eels to absorb the fears of others.

What is the Nightmare Man's race?

Dr. Cox requested this information in the thread where he asked all for the Niflheimers' basic medical information. Carrion simply answered, "Abaratian." Of course, the name of Carrion's specific "kind" is not mentioned in the book, though it is obvious that neither he nor his grandmother are quite human.

 What is his sexuality?

After a particularly intense incident between Light and L, Jazz posted a journal entry that received a lot of responses from both Niflheimers and Asgardians alike. Carrion also responded, admitting a distaste for rape and carnal pleasures in general. Though he is obviously attracted to females like Alice Elliot and the Princess Boa, and does seem to long for some contact, not once are truly lustful desires officially mentioned. To keep things simple, Carrion will never become sexually active in CU.

Can anyone visit Prince's tower in Niflheim?

After Una and Sal destroyed Carrion's belongings in the Tower, Carrion allows for no visitors, except for very special circumstances (as when he had kidnapped Glitch for a short time). Not only are the doors and windows locked by normal means, they are also locked with incantations, and the entire Tower is protected by a barriage of defensive spells. These spells protect against breaking and entering, scrying, spying, etc.. Anyone attempting to break into the Tower will receive a nasty, magickal surprise.

 Current Plots

Emerald

 Basics
What world they came from: Original character
Birthday: May 10
Age: 25
Species: Human
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Occupation: Assassin
Reputation:

 Her World

 History/Legend
She lives in modern-day earth in the 21st Century, the only difference being that there are supernatural creatures that hide amongst, or away from, humans.
