What world they came from: Death Note's Earth
Birthday (if known): October 31, 1979
Age: 25 at death
Species: human
Occupation: The world's three greatest detectives.
Appearance: A disheveled, willowy winter.
Special abilities/talents: L is extremely intelligent; he's a genius mathematically and literarily, and is musically and linguistically gifted. He is skilled in the martial art Capoeira, and can pilot a helicopter. In this roleplay, he is an accomplished violinist as well.
Quirks: L has many. Any fan knows about his casual mannerisms, odd style of sitting, and penchant for sweets. I've added a few, including aversions to eye contact, sand paper, being touched, and mirrors.
Personality:L's obsessive, having a tendency to focus on one thing at a time with extreme intensity. He likes riddles and hates relating. He doesn't have the same grasp on morality that other people seem to, tending to assume that the ends will justify the means regardless of the price that must be paid. During the course of this game, he's pretended that he's capable of setting of a nuclear detonation in Nothingness, invaded the privacy of many unsuspecting individuals, and set off a small-scale earthquake by aggressively questioning an unstable member of Asgard, all with the best of intentions. Ironically, his intelligence often blinds him to the details in the big picture he strives to understand.
Despite his inability to get along well with others, L is innocent in unexpected ways and very sweet to those he cares for.
Sexual orientation: Bisexual; lately, he's noticed women more.
Reputation: Unpredictable and strange. Since being tortured by Light early in the game, he's lost something of what helped him cope back in his original world. Without Watari and his other handlers, he's sometimes a bit helpless, but his problem-solving skills remain sharp and impressive.
Background Information:
Relationships: Afew people have managed to connect to L, including Dorian (a voice of innocence to influence L's relative jadedness), Frank (a much needed father-figure), and his current significant other, Blythe. Currently, his relationship with Light Yagami involves much plotting for his death.
Current Plots:
Post death, he still has a score to settle with Light, but is beginning to discover that there's more to life than living in a dark room and watching the world through television screens. Since becoming involved with CU, he's had his share of trials and triumphs.
