She lives in modern-day earth in the 21st Century, the only difference being that there are supernatural creatures that hide amongst, or away from, humans. She has encountered races such as vampires, demons, werewolves, and other creatures that may resemble humans or other animals. There are also humans with enhanced psychic abilities and other phenomenon, such as the ability to move objects with the mind, and to control the elements. Rumor has it that certain ancient gods also exist, but evidence has yet to be found.

While the human earth goes on obliviously, the supernatural community struggles to survive.
